Since 1993 GD has been operating a large diagnostic laboratory, which has been accredited by the Dutch Accreditation Board (RvA) based on NEN-EN-ISO 17025. This laboratory has 130 employees. In this modern laboratory in Deventer we carry out around four million analyses a year for our customers.
The laboratory is supported by a scientific staff. The scientific staff includes experts on chemistry, microbiology and pathology, all of whom have a PhD degree in a relevant specialism. This ensures state-of-the-art techniques and methods. As well as the laboratory GD also has a unique poultry facility, where SPF parent stock is kept. This unique poultry flock enables GD to develop diagnostics for laboratory tests, which are then used in numerous laboratories all over the world as well as in our own laboratory. The laboratory experts and poultry facilities also contribute to projects and consultancy.
